A Carolina Thanksgiving...

Well, we headed down to Hattaras to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with my mom and our friends Julie and Marquis. It was VERY relaxing. It was getting there that was stressful!

Here's a picture of our house, called Drumstick. It was sweet - had an elevator, a hot tub, and pool table. Nice!

Phoebe has arrived!

Well, Kiera has a sister!! Baby Phoebe arrived this month and she is big and healthy and sweet. Check her out.

Luckily Phoebe survived her first brush with death as mom Denise, who was holding her, entered their flaming bathroom, where yours truely had left a candle lit.....perhaps a bit too close to the curtains?

Wicked!

Ok, so my mom and I went to see Wicked on Broadway last night. It's a must see! Long term stand-in for lead Idina Menzell (married to Taye Diggs) was Shoshana Bean (yes, that's her name), and she did not disappoint. In fact, I dare say she has the most powerful voice I have ever heard. Get there and see it !!

Ok, it's been so long since I've partied that I have to let the world know that given the right circumstance, I can still let loose......and thankfully, my girl Katie B gave me just that chance: VEGAS, baby! Back in April.....yes, that long ago, some of Katie's closest girlies, plus her future sister in law, moi, hit the strip something fierce. My fondest memories were of Body English and a very late night in Alladin, where I'm pretty sure we were the only women under 65 on the casino floor - indeed it was the skank shift. Anyway....thanks Katie and friends....for including me

If Olivia is in bed, housework is done, internet has been surfed, netflix has been viewed, and tivo has been exhausted......I should read (not US mag or Maxim, but say, Kite Runner). But instead I think of lame things to do like list my top 100 movies. It's a very big task, my friends. I'm up to about 97. Jordan and Katie's Wedding

Memorial Day weekend was a busy one in our household. We packed up and headed to Indy for an amazing wedding between Jordan and Katie.
